JANET BURGESS
Burgess began painting as a way to help her explore her world and own potential. Her current work focuses on everyday life and serves as a painted record of her observations of both herself and others. The exhibit includes paintings and mixed media works including selections from the "Special Occasions" series in which Burgess uses the clothes from the back of closets and interprets the memories and stories attached to those clothes. Opening reception, 6-8 pm, Friday, May 30.
